Building The Next Generation of Creative Thinkers

Montalvo Arts Center’s Teaching Artists Program gives students the life- long tools to develop into thoughtful, creative, and self-directed innovators and leaders. This pioneering program places professional artists in local classrooms to collaborate with teachers on multi-week curricula using the arts to teach across disciplines. Using the arts to provide a tangible context for academic concepts, Montalvo Teaching Artists are helping children develop the critical thinking, collaboration, and communication skills that are essential to thriving in today’s increasingly global society.

For more than a century, Montalvo has been dedicated to celebrating and sustaining the creative spirit in Silicon Valley. Their mission is to create and present art of all types, nurture artists, and use their historic Villa, buildings, and grounds in innovative ways that engage the public in the creative process.
