Silicon Valley has so  much to offer ~ and this week’s blog shares a way to enjoy 5 memory making events in 5 distinct parts of the South Bay. When we say location, location, location… this is what we are talking about. In the spirit of ‘don’t get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life’, here are some ways to stop and stomp in the leaves this season.

#1: Viva CalleSJ

A free program that temporarily closes miles of San Jose streets to bring communities together to walk, bike, skate, and explore the city like never before is taking place this Sunday! Each year's event opens upwards of six miles of streets, through some of San Jose's most iconic neighborhoods for people to come out and play for the day! There’s no cost, no race and no beginning or end!  You don’t even need a bike to participate ~ you can walk or skate. Join anywhere along the route and go as far as you like!

Save The Date: Sunday, September 23rd

It takes place in an iconic part of Silicon Valley, presented by an iconic community. Santana Row, in partnership with the Iranian Federated Women’s Club (IFWC)/Payvand, will proudly celebrate the arrival of fall (Fall Equinox) and the 2018 Persian Fall (Mehregan) next week! Look forward to nationally acclaimed Persian musicians and performers, as well as the adaptation of the epic poem  “The Tale of Mehregan”.

An evening of fun for all ages begins at 6pm with children’s activities such as lawn games, complimentary face painting, Halloween costume give-a-ways (yes – wear it!) and more. #4: The 1st Annual Capitola Beach Festival

Locals know the truth… there is no better time to be at the beach than the FALL. That must be why Capitola decided to launch their first annual beach festival at the end of September, right when the first month of school is behind us and there’s a ton of homework ahead of us.

Save The Date: Saturday, September 29th

Food, entertainment, park tours, tons of kids activities PLUS stop by the Fall Garden Market & Organic Pumpkin Patch at Jacob’s Farm. Wear your walking shows and enjoy this rural piece of Silicon Valley history with an awesome autumn twist.
