Willow Glen

Willow Glen is a neighborhood of San Jose, California, in Santa Clara County. It's located in zip code 95125, parts of 95124 and parts of 95126.  The neighborhood is well-known for being "walkable" and the downtown area has a variety of restaurants and specialty shops.

The downtown street of "Willow Glen Road" changed it's name to "Lincoln Avenue" in 1865, shortly after the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln.

In 1927, this small unincorporated community decided to incorporate as a city. due to proposals from The Southern Pacific Railroad regarding a re-route of their trunk line through this community.  In 1936, Willow Glen residents opted to be annexed to San Jose.  It was important to link into San Jose's sewage system, as the town had no sewer system at that time.

The neighborhood has diverse architecture:  Bungalow, Neoclassical (Queen Anne Cottage and Neocolonial), Craftsman, Mission and much more.  The area is well served by light rail stations near it's borders.  There are many events throughout each year:  Dancin' on the Avenue, Founders' Day, Willow Glen 5K Run/Walk and many wine & beer walks.

You'll find our Sereno Group Willow Glen office downtown on Lincoln Avenue!
