2023 Paint Colors of the Year

Chic Aesthetic Shop Story Website Blog Banner (2)

Color. It’s one of the most fun, affordable and impactful inspirations that homeowners use to make their home their own. Paint has the power to calm, to energize, to differentiate and to reflect and every year all the major paint brands tell you which shades are going to accomplish this best! Below we have outlined the 2023 Colors of the Year from 9 major color players; there will no doubt be more to come.

In their summary, Better Homes and Gardens states that “the hues of 2022 centered around back-to-nature shades of green, [while] 2023 is all about self-expression.” You’ll notice a few distinct trends such as warm earth-tones (very warm like red & orange!), natural neutrals and a deep blue or two!

KRYLON | Spanish Moss

“This midnight green has a strong connection with the richness of nature, dense forests and mossy terrains. Rooted in the renewing power of green, it can balance with both warm and cool accents.”

BEJAMIN MOORE | Raspberry Blush

“A vivacious shade of coral tinged with pink, this electric hue is the definition of charismatic color.”

DUNN-EDWARDS | Terra Rosa

“Reflecting just the right amount of introspection, this high chroma cinnamon rose hue is strong, yet approachable, and acts as a refreshing neutral update to browns and burgundies.”

SHERWIN-WILLIAMS | Redend Point

“A blend of blush and beige with subtle pink undertones, declared as a grounding, earth-tone shade.”

BHG | Canyon Ridge

"If you could capture that golden hour glow around sunset when the clouds are kissed with a blushy coral color, what would you do with it?"

BEHR | Blank Canvas

“This white easily harmonizes with a wide range of hues, including neutrals, earth tones, and pastels for a charming and cozy appeal.”

GLIDDEN | Vining Ivy

“This ‘bluish-greenish-something-in-betweenish’ color serves up versatile vibes, making it an on-trend addition to any room. No matter if you think it looks more blue or more green, either way, it’s a vibe.”

DUTCH BOY | Rustic Greige

“Rustic Greige is a versatile neutral that brings harmony and contentment home. It’s the grounding force of all 3 Dutch Boy 2023 palettes that are centered on the theme of a deep-rooted comfort.”

VALSPAR | 12 Tones

Valspar has debuted not one, but one dozen colors for next year that they call “beautiful, livable, ready-to-go shades that restore and rejuvenate any space.” Holmes Cream, Blue Arrow and Rising Tide stand out from any of the other 2023 Colors of the Year among the competing brands above.
