Fun That Feels Like Fall (5 South Bay Options)

5 fall activities

This fall may be looking different than any other that we have experienced, but our hope is that we can help you embrace the comfort of familiar traditions with a few pivots along the way. Every year, we create a fall round-up of 5 seasonal activities to enjoy; this year some are online and some are in-person – and COVID protocols are in place. But our hope is that something on this list will bring you and your tribe joy and smiles in a way that feels safe to you.

#1: Vasona Boating: Waterfront Fun (Last Week)

Canoes, kayaks, stand-up paddle boards & pedal boats await at Vasona Lake! With an online reservation system and COVID-19 protocols in place, there are openings afterschool from 3-6pm on weekdays and this weekend (9/26-9/27) from 11am-6pm (last rental at 5pm). Squeeze in those last moments that feel like summer fun in this first week of fall before the boating season at Vasona ends. Learn more & make reservations here.

#2: Animal Assisted Happiness Fall Fundraiser: Support Those Who Support Kids

Animal Assisted Happiness offers 4 programs to bring smiles to children, with a special focus on youth with needs. In a true 2020 pivot, they have shifted all of their programming to be COVID prepared and changed their annual ‘Evening At The Barnyard’ to a virtual event via Zoom on September 27th. While much about this year has changed, the mission of AAH has not and we encourage you to support them! Check out the online auction, virtual farm tours & more HERE. You can also make a donation at any time.
