San Jose Is In The News: Here’s Why

White Simple Beautiful View Blog Banner

As the largest city in Northern California (in terms of population & area) as well as the heart of Silicon Valley, San Jose is frequently in the headlines. This week we wanted to share 3 recent reads that give our readers a little more insight into what’s been said about the city lately.

Big News For Blossom Valley

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Blossom Valley is 2022’s hottest neighborhood in Santa Clara County. This desirable part of San Jose has demonstrated a 36.3% growth in home values from 2019 to 2021 and is still an extremely sought-after market. With foothill views, close proximity to Oakridge Mall and Almaden Ranch plus quick access to highways 85 and 87, the 95123 is the place to be. (Have we mentioned Homes of Silicon Valley has represented countless buyers & sellers here…;)?).

Selling Over-Asking By Six Figures

Mansion Global, among several other media outlets, has shared a report that San Jose is #3 of the top 10 metro markets in the US where the most homes sold for at least $100,000 over-asking price. Los Angeles and Oakland ranked #1 and #2 respectively, while San Francisco came in at #6. Note that this data is just since the beginning of the year and represents a 62% increase compared to the same time frame in 2021.

Rooftop Beer Garden In Prime Site

Yes, you heard right. We did say rooftop beer garden. The Bay Area News Group has reported that an empty commercial building on Minnesota Avenue (just a few blocks from our office in downtown Willow Glen!) has the potential for big plans. The proposed development site would house Luke’s Rooftop Beer Garden within this bustling historic hub. The main eating area would be a rooftop dining terrace with space below for an actual brewery.

Cheers to all that San Jose is & all that it will evolve to be…
