Nothing says summer like a movie under the stars… especially if that movie is GREASE! The Montalvo Arts Center in Saratoga invites you to dress in your best 1950s outfit and come ready to sing on Friday, July 26th! On-screen lyrics will help you along the way, and you're encouraged to get up and dance to all of your favorite songs. FREE entry. Limited onsite VIP Parking available at $15/car. #2: GET YOUR GARLIC ON
It happens every year and that time has come: the 2019 Gilroy Garlic Festival is almost here! Save the dates of July 26th-27th-28th for great garlicky food, live entertainment, cooking competitions, and more! You know about Gourmet Alley, right?! It’s the gigantic outdoor kitchen where the world-famous "Pyro Chefs" put on a spectacular flame-up show while preparing garlic-laced calamari and scampi in huge iron skillets. Other Festival favorites: pepper steak sandwiches, pasta con pesto, and fried calamari, Gilroy garlic fries, garlic bread the must-try only-in-Gilroy garlic ice cream!

#3: ENJOY THE DOG (AND CAT!) DAYS OF SUMMER
We all know that one of the things that really makes a house a home is a… furry family member! Check out the Humane Society Silicon Valley’s ‘Adopt Your Summer MVP’ program, check out their action-packed calendar of foster onboarding & tricks/tips courses or make a donation (even just $10 provides 10 meals for 10 animals!) any time of year.

#4: SAVOR A SUMMER EVENING AT THE NEW NORTHSIDE NIGHT MARKET
Moveable Feast has added a NEW food truck event that is kid and dog-friendly, features local artisans and brings super tasty, savory selections to Backesto Park (a vibrant 75-year old community center and playground with a famous mosaic fountain!). This event is a collaboration between Knight Foundation, AARP California, San Jose Parks Foundation, Public Space Authority and Downtown Enrichment. #5: ENJOY A BLOCK PARTY FOR ALL AGES
There is still time to enjoy at least one more Summer Block Party. Did you know that one Thursday of each summer month – the Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce and local businesses have been throwing a party?! The next one is August 8th! Enjoy live music at Town Plaza from 5-7, then starting at 7pm, a DJ will get things rocking on Grays Lane with Loma Brewing Company. There will be fun and games for the whole family, the shops will stay open late, and there will be wine and beer at Town Plaza Park and Grays Lane. Hope to see you there!
